Thanks. It was after I had a response in the PUG forum (where I suggested ticket turnaround times might be lower, and someone hinted that was wishful thinking) that I started to lose some of my (generally plentiful) patience, made a touch worse when I saw not 1 but at least 2 people from plusNet posting on the various forums, and some twitter responses, while for me the clock ticked on, towards 18 hours then 24 hours and so forth, and there was no change visible for my ticket... Then this morning, I found could not access the 'My Questions' section of the PN website and put it down to firewall maintenance from 0700-0800 initially (but still cannot access it, so about to launch a different browser).

Hmmm, it doesn't even limit the price, given the example I saw yesterday on the PN site (sorry Mand, I think you posted the link in PN Community, so probably your effort putting that example together) (set a limit of 10 quid, but because of the granularity the extra chunk of allowance pushed the fee up past that limit).

I know Metronet had higher charges per MB, but once the programming is done, I don't see that it costs any more for PN to charge for usage when they 'go over' whether someone used 150 MB over normal allowance, or 1650 MB.

It should be just a (per MB) cost X number (of MB) and there's no good reason for it to be any higher than 100p per 1000 MB (I am ignoring the 1024 aspect)

If it was a true Traffic Watch, then setting the number of MB (and hence the total fee) would be easier. Admittedly the mechanism to slow the user's connection down might need to kick in (slightly) just after they have (say) 300 MB remaining, so that the gradual reduction would mean the speed could be quickly dropped to 128 kbps once they'd used all they had paid for (else one could easily be hammering the connection, and by the time the sampling mechanism was aware that user had exceeded paid-for allowance, user might have had 500 MB at full speed without paying [FX Thunderclap for it being a terrible crime!!])

Not being funny, but is there a bug in the ordering system?

Felt sure I was clear in what I asked for yet the ADSL status indicated something like Broadband Your Way (Option 1) and 1 month contract... I went for the 12 month Premium account so want to check I'm not going to be stung for a 40 quid setup!

For older dial up accounts the new products aren't available, so that's me fiddling the system so I can upgrade your existing account.

You'll get the product you asked for, and won't be charged anything else.

We (the Digital Care team) are employed to do various things outside of the general CSC workflows, and forums and Twitter are part of our remit.

Us posting externally has no impact on ticket response times (although we do chip in where we can when the CSC is busy).

Can you see your tickets now?

one is bbyw option 1 (2GB) and the other is bbyw option 2 (15GB).

I'll drop you a PM with the accounts if you want a closer look.

"that's me fiddling the system so I can upgrade your existing account."

Oh, it's a user (PN-side) interface problem not giving the current products.

Something for the job queue surely (5 years ago!)

(Sorry, only had 4 hours sleep, so might be a bit too sarcastic or cynical today...)

In that case, consider me told well and truly.

Apologies, but you can see how it looks from outside, too, I hope.

Have seen ticket using Google Chrome OK, and updated details / responded.

Felt sure I saw the submission OK with Netscape 9 (browser I was using all night) but it just stopped showing those pages after about 05:00.
