Order nightmares!

But at least they are now offering a product they can supply! Tried a few days ago and they said they couldn't supply FTTP that they had on offer.

Turns out it is a known problem' so you'd think there would be some information about it online somewhere.

Frequent mention on the PN forums, even renewal offers appear as 'not available'. Given the wonky website I would give them a call if I were you.

Yea, the dead hand lies upon the PN website, and as for the accounts system ... once you're in the service is great but every time I have renewed there's been a problem. In such cases I'm afraid the only way is to give them a ring, I find the staff pleasant and helpful and it's not their fault the darn thing won't work.

Similar experiences, but on the flip-side why should it be the customer who suffers because management won't sort their IT out? They are in a technology based business after all!

Plusnet do not help themselves with issues like that...
However, the basic service of providing internet access works well.
In my experience Plusnets call centre staff are always polite and helpful.
As Malwaremike suggested it would be better to call them.

What's the problem with lifting the phone? With 1.4 million PN customers someone is bound to be unhappy, just like any mass supplier of any consumer service not just ISPs. Many years ago I had an experience with Talktalk, after that anything has to be better!

Is there a special way to access the online chat? I prefer to use chat but for the past few years there has been no mention of a way to access it. Is it hidden away somewhere? Thanks

As far I remember it is not hidden, but popped up in the middle of my trying to place an order.

Anoyingly it then said all agents were busy, so I left my email address and asked that someone contact me. Never got any response, so tried again later and eventually got someone to chat to.

Hi think26872
Plusnet only provide the chat service for sales enquiries.
Unfortunately chat is not available for support.

Plusnet also support social media for support...
As I do not use Twitface, I have to call Plusnet for support.

Thanks for update - perhaps it is only displayed on the ordering pages as it just says Telephone or the Community Forum when I try. I miss being able to use the chat option when renewing a contract. Glad you got sorted however.

You might be right, although they are telling me in the community forum that some things are only available on the Desktop version of the site. Are you using a tablet or phone?

Using Desktop browser. Sorry for hijacking the thread I just thought there was a chance access to chat was back. I found it so much easier to ask for a better price over chat than over the phone.
