Help please

[link to this post]

Hi
I would not normally ask, or expect, a response on a public forum from Plus.net but I hope this will not falll on deaf ears. My Auntie had her ADSL router die on her about 2 months ago and had a new router shortly after. For two months, she has been trying to get through to someone to be advised what her router user/pass is. They have young children who use the Internet and this is not something they've been able to take advantage of for some time.
I have even tried calling the general lines myself, as well as Head Office but seem to get cut off every time. The single occasion I did get through I obviously could not pass DPA but was assured someone would call her with the necessary information.
They have been loyally paying for a service they have not been able to receive.
Obviously, they are not able to log into the member panel to access any information that way either.
If there is someone I could advise of their telephone number so I can obtain this information, I would be eternally grateful.

Thanks
Michael

It will be ( for the router )

Username : <username>@plusdsl.net
Password : <password>

you can omit the @plusdsl.net bit for everything OTHER than the router.

They will need some sort of clue as to what it is to even be able to log into the portal otherwise unfortunatly its the support wait you just got to keep trying

In all fairness its not PlusNets fault that the router has died or that you dont know what your login details are but I will agree with you Customer Service is dire as of late and hopefully something that will improve.

"that you dont know what your login details are"

Depends on what info was sent in any "welcome" e-mail, whether it is on the PC, or details printed...
perhaps that info can be kept for next time (!)...

Seriously though, hope it gets sorted for the family.

No but at a very least if there using PlusNet e-mail they should know what their primary useername is and at least have a stab at guessing a correct password.

Particually as a lot of people use common username and password for everything.
