Can't login either. Might be an MSN/Live issue rather than PlusNet but you'd have to see if there are reports of it on other ISP forums to know.

Checked their status page and its all system go (says they!). I find it won't auto log in. I have to try myself two or three times after logging into the PC. Grrrr.

Not PN....

General MSN issue - but they didn't update the MSN SS pages. Seems to be back now.

It's not a Plus.net issue as it affects pretty much everyone at the moment and it's quite random as some people aren't affected whilst other logins are.

You need to add these to the C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file

65.54.239.80 messenger.hotmail.com
65.54.239.80 dp.msnmessenger.skadns.net

Instructions taken from here:

Plus.net: "We can't predict the future"

Plus.net: Beware of The Leopard

My spelling mistakes are all my own

Yep, mine was OK first thig this morning. I found that I could use Windows messenger OK while MSN messenger didn't work - on the same machine, network, time etc. <scratches head>

I am still unable to login. is anyone else still having problems?

Michael

Moved my main account from PN to IDNet as soon as I saw that my exchange was on the Tiscali LLU List and never regretted it, but still have a PAYG Account for PN at my other house
