I'd have to disagree.

Because PN don't advertise, they need a way of gaining publicity free. Their moaning about other providers 'doing the dirty' is just the latest. Long term, their is no such thing as bad publicity.

The replies you get from I W should be interesting, he as had plenty of time to concoct yet another comedy script that he can feed to the gullible. I think he and mad marco should team up has fiction writers.

If IW cared about customers then he'd be picking up the phones and the staff in they're spare time would be replying directly to questions from customer/ex-customer and non customers in this forum.

Ofcourse to do that Plusnets work ethic needs to change. There needs to be a uniformly understood policy direction and implementation across the boards and all CS staff have to be on the same song sheet that does not change.

Seriously though, I would agree that Ged shouldn't be wasting him time trying to do Ian Wild's job and collating questions on here.

If he really wants customer feedback he should send an email to all current subscribers linking to a questionaire asking how they would like the service to be improved..

There are positive ways of acquiring similar publicity in my opinion- e.g. through charitable giving of time, money, resources, expertise etc., which give a far more positive impression of a business, than "picking arguments" with critics, suppliers and competitors.

I'm not a believer that there's no such thing as bad publicity. I think that much of the publicity that Plusnet has set-out to acquire, unnecessarily alienates some potential customers. Maybe, there are some people that are attracted to a business with "attitude". On the other hand, I reckon that for a larger proportiion, Plusnet's "attitude" is a positive turn-off.

Not exactly! I'm nothing if not fair!

The more I think about this the more bizare this is.

Why is there a need for answers here? If there was no other forum to ask questions then perhaps there would be, but they have their own portal forum. Many times customers there have felt they needed to read here, when the reps posted, to find out what was happening. There is the PUG forum. So why here or is my cynicism rooted in reality and PN know that both of those forums are little used by potential customers and so it is here they need to satisfy their public. Their customers can go hang.

The same questions are being asked at PUG and the portal, so why are they not answered there then IW would not need to use the hyde and seek go between style.

Lets also just for example that last round where the 2 week figure was mentioned. Did Soundsystem not understand that correctly? Or perhaps he just slightly did not understand the context or perhaps IW is cunning enough to know that he can say anything to SS allow it to be communicated here then distance himself saying that it was never said or not understood. We have no way of actually being able to say in whatever period of time, you IW said this, because he can simply say "no way". So he gets what he wants fed in, no committment and no comeback.

Very smart move. I think soundsystem you are being manipulated.

So a question, why not answer all these outstanding questions in the portal or PUG, HIMSELF, not thro a go between and unless the above theory is correct, then as management I would be worried when I needed to communicate in this cloak and dagger style, which just adds to their smoke and mirrors image.

PS you don't need to ask any of the questions SS, IW will have read them all here and have a good script.
