How do i connect to usenet...using Newsbin Pro

Hi,

I am wanting to get into using Usenet, and would like to test out the ISP's services before i look around at other places offering Usenet.

Buti came across my first stumbling block, i don't exactly know what to connect to. Doing a google search, i found the adress news.plus.net so i typed that in. Wouldn't connect, i then chose the option for me to login, so i entered my plusnet login details and still no joy.

Can anyone help me out because i don't have a clue?

You don't need to login, leave that option off.

Though didn't they remove the binary feed?

Yes binary feeds are no longer maintained by Plusnet so the only groups available will be text based ones.

All you should need to do is go to Preferences -> Server Options and enter these details.

Make sure you have the server ticked/enabled under the "Groups/Servers" column on the left too.

You need to get an external usenet provider, as others have said plusnet have removed their binary feed.
