A few weeks ago I had a problem with the main fuse box at home, the fuse box had to be reset a few time (15 times to be precise). I'd forgotten to disconnect my router from the wall and as a result it obviously connected/disconnected to the service 15 times in a matter of a couple of hours.
My Sync speed went down to 7616 from a previously rock solid 8128.
I have also noticed my ping time had gone up from pre problem average of late 20s early 30s to a whooping-VOIP-busting average ping time of late 90s early 100s. It is now not unusual that I see certain hops hitting the 150ms point.
I spoke to PN who assured me that my line has NO interleaving on it....
What else can I do?
My router stats are:
DL: Line att = 17db; Noise margin = 9db
UL: Line att = 10db; Nose margin = 19db
PS my vonage VOIP is all but useless because of latency! I have spoken to vonage who said there was up to 9 seconds delay on the line and have done a firmware upgrade on their device to no avail!
Please Help
