Option 1.
5 minutes on the portal requesting the change, wait 10 minutes disconnect/reconnect (no changes required to login details) - job done. Plus the advantage that they will now be on a fixed IP which will make remote support easier. Over 1GB spare capacity for his requirements. Near line speeds on all protocols at all times of the day.
Option 2.
5 minutes on the portal requesting MAC. Wait some hours for MAC code. Contact F2S and give them MAC code. Arrange transfer for 30 days after MAC requested or ASAP (about 7 days) and have 3 weeks where you are paying both Plusnet and F2S. Change login details in the router (obviously this can't be done remotely so you'll have to visit). Over 4GB spare capacity for his requirements - speeds at all times of the day? I can't comment. Does F2S have fixed IPs?
Now which would I choose?
