When looking at it take note of the different "peak" times.

You will probably benefit from BBYW2 over BB+ as you will get a higher peak usage allowance, although if your off-peak usage includes more than a couple of Mb between 8am-4pm then BB+ may be of more benefit for you.
At the moment you would also have to pay the cancellation charge on BBYW and not BB+ (although in time all accounts will have to pay unless this is fully removed by BTW) if you cancel ADSL rather than migrate.

Re the cancellation charge - front page of TBB is reporting that BT are, quite rightly, going to drop this.

Have a look at the excellent comparison on Kitz's site -

Hi there,

The benefits are faster peak time speeds on P2P/Usenet etc, more usage, new features and a more flexible product.

The possible drawback is that your usage allowance covers a 16 hour period, whereas on Plus peak is 8 hours per day. There's also the cessation charge in the T+C's, although as previous posters suggest there is some debate over whether this is about to be removed.

Just for your information, that link includes the lower speeds on Premier as they were released by PN and then withdrawn. Therefore they might be accurate or they might not, that is until PN confirm them.

If those speeds (or similar) are introduced (or already in place) for Premier accounts PN will have materially altered the service as sold e.g. the line speed promises for the first 13GB on Premier Option 1.

Agreed RSHARMA...
I have been VERY disappointed to see these limits and when I first saw them even more so to see them as less than the equivalent BBBYW option 3 which would be the modern equivalent of Premier 1. I did note somewhere that these were to be reviewed but it is none the less unacceptable. Whilst the theory of unlimited speed (to line limit) for up to 13Gb across ALL protocols has been long disproved, by yourself and others I would have expected Prem1 to have better or at worst the same limiting as BBYW Option 3..

In practice I have not been affected in any noticeable way - but this will be down to my usage profile - others would not be as lucky.

I would welcome an official view on this..... confirming that these limits are incorrect and when revised more acceptable limits will be available.

Thanks to you all, now you've cleared that up I can see it's really not worth changing, the comparison at kitz.co.uk makes it understandable even to me

with regard to changing from plus... the new offering does offer more for the same.

During the limiting periods (spit) you would get the same or up to double what you get now. Peak time is the same - but you would get double the exisitng limit.

bearing in mind the recent drop in service level from plus (February), monitor your speeds and make a judgement as and when you want to... it is a new product after all.
