my post was more of a play on words than a request... unlimited is a thing of the past...

I'm hoping we've nearly done enough to demonstrate what we are aiming to do in terms of making sure our customers find us the most helpful, knowledgeable and fast to respond support teams in the industry.

I think a few other ISPs like Zen, Newnet and IDnet may justly lay claim to those attributes.

At some point maybe when the whole country is on fibre or mass wifi and you don't have to worry about bandwidth costs. ADSL2+ and 21CN first, then probably VDSL2 and FTTC and after that who knows.

That's probably true but I have no experience of those isps' and their support.
I read your post as you are saying plusnet can't justify being in the group...perhaps that is so, but they're not far away if my experience of support is a true reflection

Aye - Competition makes the world go round, and my life would be very dull were it not so!

I picked the word aim carefully there though - I'm not saying we are where we want to be. Yet.

I hear what you're saying Paddy. But one of the best is not our aim. We want to be the best and that is were we are aiming.

We're not there just yet but we will be

Being the best is a pointless aim, for you or any other ISP will never be the best.
Aim for as good as you can be.

People will class "best" in many ways, Fastest, CS support, Value for money, lowest price etc.
No one ISP can be all those

Too true.

Any ISP that employs traffic shaping and rate limiting will never be the best in my opinion.
