Hi there,

VPN will work on Option 1, but is rate limited as the product is an entry level product and is not suitable for sustained use of VPN services.

If it's occasional use you should be fine on Option 1, if not you could consider Option 2, with the new 90 day guarantee you have nothing to lose.

So VPN will work with option 1 depsite there being a big fat red cross next to it?
Logging into employers network 9-5, sending email and synchronising outlook folders will all it will be needed for so that should be ok from what you say?

Option 1 = is not suitable for sustained use of VPN services.

So 9 - 5pm I would class as sustained use , unless of course you are only going to log in occasionally between those hours and not be connected all day.

>> VPN will work on Option 1, but is rate limited

To me that would also imply that speeds would also be slow when using VPN as it would be throttled.
Is there any clarification on that - is it say like FTP on Option1 account which is limited to 256kbps?

BBYW option 1 VPN traffic is rate limited to 128kbps, this was originally blocked completely but was rate limited instead to allow some access.

The above post has been made by an ISP REPRESENTATIVE (although not necessarily the ISP being discussed in the post).

That is no problem at all if it is rate limited as it is for low volume traffic.
