Plusnet customer numbers?

[link to this post]

Is plusnet still adding customers these days or can you not say as you're now part of the BT group? Would be fascinating to know how you guys are surviving in this market.

If 70% of the population (maybe it's less or maybe it's more, but I heard that ballpark figure somewhere before), have access to at least one LLU provider, I struggle to see how smaller IPStream suppliers cope. I mean, O2 for example have superior usage limits, for the moment - superior speeds (this is whilst LLU is in its prime - it could all go Peter Tong like it did for some BTwholesale suppliers before when CBC charging was introduced at the wholesale level) - and keen prices.

Plusnet were great for me for over 2 years, but finances dictated a move - and I haven't looked back. I have a Sky connection at home, and an O2 connection at my house here at university and they're both brilliant (Sky one may have the edge) and very very good value.

Not at the rate BT Openreach are enabling exchanges for 21CN - a few months back they postponed the 'go live' dates for tons of exchanges - so many areas won't see those speeds on BTwholesale connections until late 2009.

Even when BT has their ADSL2+ it won't be a threat to Sky or O2/Be, due to profiling in 1Mbps steps.

Mainly of use in non-LLU exchanges and LLU ones where the LLU is full up. I think I saw that OfCom is getting uneasy about lack of LLU space.

Bob: Demon dialup >> Freeserve dialup >> BT Broadband >> Prodigynet >> Newnet >> O2 Standard.
Purple Cloud for domain, email and web space.

Or even later! My exchange used to have a date of Q2 2010, now it doesn't have date set at all for WBC on 21CN.
