The main differences between the two products are usage and network priority.
As you'll know, they are both priced at £19.55 with Option 3 giving 30GB peak time usage as opposed to that of 15GB on Pro. Peak time usage on both is between 8am and midnight.
On Pro, all traffic is treated as either Gold or Titanium on our network. Option 3 has various rate limits and priorities on non time sensitive traffic, however email, web, streaming, gaming, etc are also given a priority of Gold or Titanium on our network. You can see here how these rate limits apply over various different times of the day.
Whilst it is true that should the amount of gold traffic reach our capacity, there would be packets dropped on Pro (as well as web, email, etc on other products), we aim for zero Gold drops throughout the day. You can see here how our network behaves across the day for various different traffic priorities.
As has also been mentioned, there's no limitsd to the amount of traffic you can use during the off peak periods of the day.
