Fixed Price for 18 months ?

[link to this post]

My mother had telephoned plusnet asking a question about her old package on plusnet 8Gb at £14.99 per month - will the price remain the same and kept the old package in the next 18 months ?

Plusnet staff told her this:

We will NOT force you to change your old package into the new package but from April 2009, all the old product will be automatically switch over to the new product but you remain on the 1 month contract. The only change is the price - work out much cheaper for you.

The new package prices mean if you signed up in a new 18 months contract then the price remain the same for next 18 months unless plusnet, we, giving you a 14 days notice of the price to be changing like going up or going down but your contract remain with us for 18 months period.

So, my mother made up her own mind and stick to her old product until the switch over in April but she remain on 1 month contract because she haven't signing up a new 18 months contract. My mum is lucky indeed to AVOID 18 months.

Can you let me know the username or ticket ID as that information is incorrect.

Customers on the old products will not switch to the new products unless they choose to themselves.

there isn't any ticket or username as she phoned them up herself. If the information is incorrect then why on earth one of your staff misleading my own mother on the phone with bunch of lies ?

Sounds interesting. BUT.

Since when have Plusnet forcibly moved people from Legacy Accounts.. Plenty of people on Premier still. I would have been If the additional data limits hadnt changed on BBYW. If Plus Net did move people it would be a breach of contract and all hell would break loose.

Edit Just noticed the OP identity..

Time of call, person spoken to, etc, something to back up your claim.

Ok, I will ask my mother who the person (plusnet staff name) and what time is the call make and how long it last. Then I will ask them to check the recorded calls. I think one of the staff should be SACKING for misleads my own mother with bunch of lies.

Calls are probably recorded so should not be a problem to tie it down.

It's just another of his fantasies and trolling posts. He has been caught out posting blatant lies on the Enta forum in the recent past.

Even I think it's safe to assume a forced switch would have been announced by PN. However I'm keeping an eye on the "We have no plans to implement Phorm" statement now that Ian W has left tongue
