The "unknown" gateway.

[link to this post]

When I go to http://usertools.plus.net/@gateway/ it says:

You are currently connected to the "unknown" gateway

Sounds ominous! I think I'm normally on telehouse west (if that's the right name). Is this a usertools glitch, or am I connected to some new super-secret system? smile

Possibly a glitch, drop me a PM with your username and I'll double check which gateway you're on and try and see what's going on.

Thanks Chris, but it seems to be a glitch that has resolved itself. It now says:

You are currently connected to the "City Lifeline, Juniper 10" gateway. This gateway is sometimes known as pcl-ag03.

Which is nowhere near as exciting. smile

Thanks again.

I'm jealous now! I wanted to be connected to the "Unknown Gateway". Instead, I'm connected to plain old Telehouse North, Juniper 2.

"City Lifeline" at least sounds more interesting than that, and certainly more crucial! wink

I've just got this as well.

"You are currently connected to the "unknown" gateway."

Trace route provides
Tracing route to portal.plus.net [212.159.9.2]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

2 38 ms 36 ms 38 ms lo0-plusnet.pte-ag2.plus.net [195.166.128.72]
3 37 ms 35 ms 35 ms ge0-0-0-504.pte-gw1.plus.net [84.92.4.89]

Sounds like a scripting bug...

This has happened in the past when a new gateway was added but the tool was not updated to be able to identify it.

I'm getting this too just now - and also some massive connectivity problems which are preventing me from browsing most sites; getting on here has taken a few goes!
