plusnet unlimited only getting 15kB/s peer to peer
I understood that peer to peer rate was cut to around 50kB/s during peak hours,
But my top speed is only 15kB/s has things changed ? thanks.

It might the the available seeder count you have or it might just be a slow torrent as you might have 1 or two connections giving you their dialup speeds.

Yes things have changed, you're locked into a long contract, so you're stuck whatever speeds PN allow you to have.

15kB/s = 120kbps which is pretty well exactly what is shown in these tables from 6pm to 10pm for unlimited.

And not much better any time frown!

Though the description does say "Designed for serious Internet users and is ideal for all Internet activities", so maybe I have an incorrect understand of what "ideal" means.

Bob: Demon dialup >> Freeserve dialup >> BT Broadband >> Prodigynet >> Newnet >> O2 Premium.
Purple Cloud for domain, email and web space.

I know there was a problem earlier at the weekend when one of the pipes went down, changing to another gateway solved it or it could have been this

"And not much better any time !"

So Line speed, or 512k is not much better?

This is a £20 per month (£11.99 if youre in a busy exchange) product based on a BT line offering unlimited (albeit restricted speed on P2P and some other protocols at peak times)
OP could always switch to Pro if he needs unrestricted line speeds.... depends on his overall usage. or schedule P2P overnight with unthrottled downloads.
