ADSL2+

My exchange has a tentative 21CN WBC RFS date of 31.03.10, will the PN trial be completed by then?

We'd certainly expect the trial phase to be over by that point.

I'm afraid I couldn't tell you if we will have specific ADSL2+ products, but we'll release details nearer the time.

If that comes from samknows, don't be too hopeful.

Sam is the best information we have and is usually up to date, but can only reflect the what he is given by the suppliers.

When the dates change it can be a while before he gets notified. So it is probably right at the moment, but it may say the same at the beginning of March and be garbage frown. Not his fault.

I think I've heard rumours in the past that Sam actually works for BT. Not sure how accurate that is though.

Thanks for the replies

I would expect a 'pro-active' ISP to be preparing new products in the background so that they would be ready for (the first) go-live date

And just for the record I did say 'a tentative 21CN WBC RFS date' as you say it is the best info at the minute!

Last I heard he seemed to be a university student. But that was a couple of years ago. I think he was behind on site updates due to exams, so they may have been his Finals.

It is anyway possible that he can get BT Wholesale specific info more reliably than from retail ISPs, ie LLU.

There has not been much activity on exchange unbundling for some time.

So far as I know BT Openreach have not announced (or even decided I assume) what the wholesale products will be, so it would be difficult for any ISP to lay plans, even those trialling FTTC as a technology.

Be/O2 have been the most active.. But the last set for unbundling (Scottish) had a date of 30/6 and have been on the site for months... I meant no additions for some time..
