PLusnet Pro - any recommendations / advice

Hi All

I'm in the process of getting out of O2 access due to terrible performance for last 2 months.

I'm looking at the plus net pro service, just wondered if people have had any experience of it ? good or bad .

I work from home via VPN 9-5 and play some games on night and sometimes dl the odd movie.

My exchange is non LLU.

Also if I'm not happy can I get out of a plusnet service without having to wait for the full 12 months ?
02 tried to lock me in , but a complaint to the ISPA gave me a get for free email.

10 days notice. But if you took a free modem and free migration in you have to pay those if you leave within 12 months.

10 days notice - is that on there 12month contract ?

Hardly seems worth paying £30 setup for a montly contract. I could just go for free migration and pay £30 to get out if it goes titsup.

In effect there isn't a 12-month contract. As of 22 October all contracts are 10-day notice and the only relevance of 12 months is what I said before. Also if you take a free house move then that charge hangs around for 12 months afterwards.

I'm not a Plusnet user, but looking at how they word it they do call it a 12-month contract. It isn't. If you click and read the "No contract option" popup on a package that's what it means.

Should be much better.

I'm on Pro and it's ok for the majority of the time, Plusnet have encountered a few problems recently but as of last night they seem to have been sorted out, although there has been a problem with one of the gateways today which has thrown a bit of a spanner in the works. While they have had the problems my download speeds did drop, my ping nor surfing were affected so I fared a lot better than people who are on other packages.
Pro suits me as it now has a 20gig peak limit so if I have anything large I need to download I schedule it for the unmetered period. So long as you don't mind having to pay £30 if you need to migrate within the first 12 months and have your own router it's good
