I'm a bit baffled here. I thought you could only connect to BT with a HH not PN?

It could have been flashed to generic firmware, allowing it to be used with any ISP.

I do wonder if we are seeing the effect of the loss of James (sniff) on the support side. There seem to have been a few issues dragging on longer than he would have been happy with.

As to your problem - and based on your thread at plusnet and the search you did - it would seem to be either a mis-connection at the exchange, mis-configuration of BT kit (if any, probably not), or wrong configuration in plusnet radius.

A week seems very poor as the third theory would have been a 10 mins "Oops" fix in the radius server, and the first two involve sending the BT engineer back to the exchange to do the migration properly this time!

The PlusNet Domains were added to the Firmware for the BT HH a long time ago. You can use a BT HH on PlusNet though I haven't tried it for some time...

Thanks for the posts guys, fixed now.

Kevin I too am a little bit miffed at the time this has taken. I am sure in the good O'l James days it would not have!

As for the HH alll I know is that in the set-up it asked if you wanted to connect to a none BT network? When clicked you just enter the details as normal.

It is a shame the PN staff don't know this as it took me 4 days of wasted time as the HH got blamed for the problem and I don't think they could be bothered to look past it.
Lets blame the users hardware even if he says it worked before we did an upgrade that obviously has not!!!

So thanks for the help and lets hope they let me know what thwe problem was?

One of the basic tests when things go wrong is to swap the hardware and see if it makes any difference. When making a complaint it is always nice to have this extra evidence on hand - particularly where a HH is involved!

Yes totally agree, which is why I tried 2 other routers and obtained the same result before I raised a ticket.

After a quick discussion with Chris at PN I am more than happy with the resoultion of this fault, if still a bit miffed by the time it took.
