Also I have suspicions that all may not be well on the BT network. Some people are seeing very different performance when on the same package with similar sync and IP Profile.

The thing is im still seeing max pings of 19ms in Windows to the IP im connecting to in game or via HLSW, when the game port is then in use it flys up to around 90ms stable! Surely this suggests some sort of incorrect bandwidth filtering on my connection? Strange though when changing gateways a few times its fine! frown

Hmmm... given the change I'd say it was related to network balance - we are still a bit off following yesterday's issues but things are getting sorted out, there should be an update to service status later on.

Has the ping stayed down since the gateway switch, or has it jumped up again?

It seems to be totally random really, it was fine after I reconnected the first time last night but often over the past 2 weeks its stayed high after 3 or 4 changes to different gateways.

Is it defiantly going to be that being that considering I can ping the same IP im connecting to at under 20ms in Windows?

I think you're going to have to do a WireShark trace to see what priority the packets are when it's going slow.
