That's plain ADSL. You could be on 20CN kit, or a 21CN MSAN with a G.DMT profile.

You certainly are not on ADSL2+.

Thanks for all your help...it is much appreciated.

What should I do? My exchange is 21CN enabled and Plusnet say they have changed my line.

I can't sort that for you I'm afraid.

I expect one of the reps on here will be along soon and see the evidence.

Looking at the actual stats, that's a very poor speed for 42dB attenuation anyway. To save me looking back, have you done all the routine stuff like checking ring wires and eliminating plug-in phone extension cables to the router?

Yes no bell wire and when I plug directly into master socket there is no difference. Actually I am quite happy with 4.5 - 5 Mbps for 20CN but I was hoping for more with 21CN.

Well if you were at the proper speed then quite a bit more possibly.

It depends what is holding you down. If it is the line card/DSLAM then a swap to the 21CN MSAN will fix it. If it is anywhere else I would be surprised to see much gain.

Strange though - earlier you had an IP Profile of 5500 on the Plusnet Control Panel. That implies a stable sync of 6240-6784kbps.

Hi Nick,

If you can drop me a PM with your Plusnet username I'll be able to take a look at your account and see what's going on there, if you like?
