So the router that isn't yours until you have been with plusnet for a year won't be replaced once it is actually yours?
As far as I'm aware, it's yours from day 1. It's free if you stay for a year or £40 if you don't. But either way it's yours, because they don't want it back.
I'm not sure on that one. I suspect we'd still RMA a router with the Thomson firmware though there might be issues if it's the flashing process that's bricked it (unless we'd asked the user to reflash). I'll get some clarification on that this afternoon for you.

Was hoping for an update. The reason I'm asking is that i've seen the tg585 crash and then promptly have problems rebooting or if you power cycle it then has problems to get to even the wireless enable stage (or active Ethernet stage). And the only way to resolve it is to let it cool down for 30 mins.
The box is quite warm at that stage but not excessively. Hence not quite sure if its firmware or a hardware issue .
