Ummm. Just before I clicked on your reply I realised it was a rather daft question!

Plusnet will have acquired a new range of IP addresses which was previously either unused or used in another country.

It hasn't yet propagated round all the necessary places. The BBC do not allow iPlayer to be used outside this country so are rejecting the OP's IP address when they check the location.

If he is on a dynamic IP then I suggest disconnecting for 30 minutes or more and try again. A quick re-sync could easily get the same or a close address. Even 30 minutes might, but it's worth a try.

Could be worth OP trying http://ip-address.domaintools.com/ and noting result.

As I have static address I obviously wouldn't be affected.

Yep, a brilliant site.

I use it a lot to check existing domain details. I forgot it did that as well.

You haven't forgotten to log out from a work or other VPN, have you?

Last time I got that message, I found I was unwittingly VPNed.

I got this the other day on only one of two computers connected through the same router and using the same IP address. Work that out! I tried again a few minutes later and it was OK.
