Unlimited mean no cap, no throttling, no traffic shaping or otherwise ASA and Ofcom will give Plusnet a slap in their face! Just be careful Plusnet with UNLIMITED - No FUP !

TalkTalk Essentials does NOT have a 40GB cap.

A hard cap like that would break the rules.

I hoping Plusnet have bought some very fat pipes to cope with this extra demand.

No, the prices are still differentiated between the markets.

There isn't a FUP.

Sorry, 40GB FUP is what I meant. Is that not the case Andrew?

Yes, we've provisioned lots of additional bandwidth ahead of next week's launch.

The 40GB is suspended, i.e. an ongoing experiment where essentials is unlimited and Plus just has slightly less management

A confusing they reserve the right to bring it back after the 12 month contract is up.

Believe it is all part of their making Plus the TV package and essentials their broadband only package.

Ah I see, thanks for the clarification Andrew. Saves me making the same assumption again.

What about the bit lower down than the 40GB, where it says P2P is slowed down? Is that suspended as well?

Not sure if I've missed it, but I'm still in my first month of extra fibre with the £5 for the first three months offer. If I upgrade will I still retain that discount?
