Re: Plusnet to provide unlimited broadband

I hope there will be a sensible option to keep an existing static IP address when moving/upgrading onto the new products.

This has been a big stumbling block for me for some time now!

Plusnet Unlimited for ADSL/ADSL2+/FTTC is a step forward ahead and sound very promise but what happen if there is 80% customers average of 150GB usage allowance per month while the rest of bad boys 20% did over 2TB a month - will Plusnet give out a warning letter to bad boys to cut down usage allowance or will be suspension ?

No warning letters, no suspension. Were a *long* way off 80% of customers downloading ~150GB/mnth though. The average across our network is ~18GB. In a month youd be able to manage a *lot* more than 2TB with 76Mbps throughput wink

Although I suspect you know the answer to this already seeing as you seem to have posted exactly the same thing here, here and here confused

I've answered this elsewhere but yes, you can keep your IP. On the off-chance it is lost (shouldn't be) then we'll happily reassign another.

Rgds,

You may have answered it elsewhere but a link to what you said would be useful. Saying "we'll happily reassign another" doesn't exactly inspire confidence. I wouldn't say I can't accept a new fixed IP but I certainly don't want to.

Rgds,

Bob, what's the charge for migrating from another FTTC supplier ?

I'm interested in the 19.99/m unlimited FTTC package, (without Plusnet phone service) does that include static IP as standard ?

I said the same thing elsewhere tongue
It depends on your current account type, feel free to PM me your details.

It depends on whether or not you move your phone service to us. If you do it's free. If you don't the set-up fee is £50. I'd check your current contractual terms though as most fibre providers have 12 or 18 month contracts.

Static IP is a £5 one-off charge.

looking at their blog entries they have been adding capacity all through this year which seems high for natural growth the amount they added, so my guess is they have added in advance.

BT Infinity 2 Since Dec 2012 - Estimate 65.9/20 - Sync 80/20
