Re: is BT Enterprise broadband provided by Plusnet?

current rate Kbps - 943 up 7293 down
Max rate - 944 up 7356 down
SNR margin - 5.9 up 2.9 down
Line attenuation - 25.3 up 49 down
Errors - 0 up 0 down

Given our distance from exchange 1.7 miles attenuation is about right or slightly high

Actual rate as measure by speed checkers is 180 down. It feels like dial-up on a bad day!

Please can you run the diagnostics follow-up option of the BT Performance Test, and post the full contents of the two text result boxes? Ignore the graphics.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,website and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 54.0/14.9Mbps @ 600m. - BQM

I tired this test yesterday and now again since your post three more times

I get DL 0.2 UL 0.67 and latency 40.4

Every time I try to run the "Further Diagnostics" it appears to load and run then delivers the meaasage
"error when trying to retrieve further details of your connection"

As a matter of interest when I run it with a T Mobile dongle in my PC the test returns DL 5.73 UL 1.49 latency 58 for my mobile BB

Hugely frustrating for you frown.

I'll see if I can think of some other route to follow. It's clearly a fault of some description, but if your ISP is holding its hands up helplessly that is just ridiculous.

Your 7356kbps connection speed is excellent for the line length! You should be flying along.

I have now switched to AAISP from Endrick/ Plusnet and been with AAISP for 10 days.

The situation is transformed. With the same line and router I now have a very consistent 6.4M DL and 0.7 up. So somewhere in the Endrick/BT Enterprise/ Plusnet supply chain I have been shortchanged for weeks if not months.

Any problem solved

Thanks for help
