Re: Does "unlimited Fibre" support multi-user s' e-mail acco

[re: RobertoS] [link to this post]

In the PN Live-Chat which I had taken part recently, I have been assured that I can have up to 5 Users Accounts including the primary User Account using POP3SMTP. I have agreed with you guys that it is much better to have an ISPs' independent e-mail address, which I also have using with "Google". So I have joined up Plusnet "unlimited Fibre broadband" yesterday online, and my PN's unlimited fibre installation day is schedule, at the moment, next Friday 3-May-2013. But having heard about some stories that this online installation may be "fluid", I could only keep my fingures crossed that my fibre installation day remains.
I also have my own PN's e-mail address just in case. However, I'm not sure that can I have these PN's e-mails, both POP3 and SMTP activated,i.e. manage to send and receive e-mails, even now using my existing O2 broadband account if I have set its corresponding Servers' up?? I'm still using my existing O2 's e-mail Servers' accounts as my primary default though!

well, that is a "good" news for me but I actually needed 4 only! I have been surfing the Plusnet pages but I did not recall I have ever seen an official statement stating exactly how many e-mail's user-accounts can be!!

Something for you (and Plus.Net staff, and anyone else) to look at would be an article in kast Sunday's Observer: http://is.gd/OpenreachDelays2013 ... link

I reckon that's worth deleting and reposting in General Chatter. Then edit this deleted one to remove the "DELETED" from the subject and insert a link to the new one in the body.

A great find smile.

It'd be even better for the TBB staff to do a survey and publish the results.

I suspect many people over the past ~10 months will have their own stories of delayed installs and line repairs. One of my clients wanted a business line and was given (not just by Plus.Net but by all firms we asked) a lead time of a month. The line went live a few days earlier than that, but can you imagine a new restaurant or other High Street business having no ability to accept phone calls for a month after they opened?

(In this case it wasn't actually a restaurant, but that's the kind of place I'd expect to want/need a phone line working from day one, whether to take calls for bookings or from suppliers asking what they needed in the way of wines, meat, vegetables, etc.)

Never used 1and1 for hosting in the UK (and interested to see they offered 3 years free for people in N America, presumably to get market share, so a friend signed up as she lives in Boston)...

When I wanted a .uk domain to be registered, 1and1 staff lied when telling me that Nominet bans the use of PO Box addresses (Nominet don't, and there was a good reason as it was the safest option at the time for my client {women's refuge}) ... so I moved my domains from them and won't touch them again.
