Very occasionally I get a speedtest.net result above my IP profile (example), usually this is when the test has appeared to stop and start a lot rather than run smoothly. I have never, on any product, had a BT speed test report a speed above my IP profile.

Edit: This is a "real" one I've just done, although I feel the ping is rather unrealistic. My IP profile is 69.31Mbps.

That would be a definitive speed test.

You would think someone could write an app to do that, so you just have to run it and it gives you the answer.
