Don't reboot the Openreach modem too often. That is the one that makes DLM kick in if done too much smile. Only if the BT Performance Test IP Profile is low should you need to do that. (Unless it falls over of course).

The router is the one that should trigger a Plusnet Current line speed reset to just below the IP Profile. IIRC you can cause a PPP disconnect through the GUI. Then connect again after a minute might do the trick.

If it doesn't, then calling Plusnet is all you can do. (Tickets apparently take an age at the moment).

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,website and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 59.4/14.4Mbps @ 600m. - BQM

Hi there,

You could also drop one of us staff a PM and we'll take a look for you if you like? Shouldn't take long to confirm speeds and update the profile on our side. Sorry it's not kept up.

Thank you for your quick response, Luckily Plusnet Line speed profile is back to normal matching BTW profile and a speed test has confirmed it, so for now all is well.

cheers

Yeah I do know that frequent modem reboots is asking for trouble as they may be interpreted by BT hardware as faulty line.
I had to reboot the modem because curiously when the speed first dropped (without a change in plusnet or BTW profile) the reboot somehow corrected the download speed?... but now I'm guessing that it may have been just a coincidence and that the modem/router reboot happened after problem was already corrected and the reboot allowed changes to take effect
