Re: Plusnet to Virgin - £30 Line cancellation charge ?

Reason for not charging on those is that charge is not mentioned in T and C

I have a Plusnet Unlimited service. The contract expired last February, and I obtained confirmation in writing that I would not be charged in April. I have yet to, exercise this right, but hope to do so in the next couple of months.

Hopefully this helps to clarify:

The charge can apply to any customer who has a broadband cease placed on their line.

Generally, the main reasons for broadband ceases are:

A broadband account is cancelled (without switching providers)
Switching providers without a MAC key
The telephone line used to provide broadband is cut off

Cessation charges don't apply if:

You use a MAC key to switch to another provider (this is called a migration)
You're a customer without a contract on any of the following products:
Plusnet Essentials
Unlimited
Unlimited Fibre
Unlimited Fibre Extra

So you are on a service that doesn't carry the cease charge anyway.

No, the cease charge is shown in the Plusnet Broadband Family service terms, and I would have expected to pay if I had terminated the service during a contract. .

I should say that I joined after the cease charges were introduced.

OK, you confused me then with this:

Plusnet Unlimited service

I assumed as you capitalised the U that it was the "Unlimited" package rather than an unlimited package.
