Yeah i can see that the jitter ceases after you hop gateways and or change endpoint

At about 3pm today my BQM shows sudden huge packet loss continuing up to the present (6:30 pm). I've given up waiting for speedtest to load. I can't see any reports of outages but at the mo it's like running through treacle. Anybody else?

P.S. -No change yet.
Not seeing packet loss but I am seeing an increase in low level latency.

And tain't me using the connection.

Speeds aren't too bad although my upload was all over the deck which is a bit odd.

some call it jitter as it varies frequently like every second or two, definately not a good thing if you are playing online games, but it seems unique to plusnet at peaktimes for some reason or other

We stopped putting the announcements but are still increasing capacity, from the checks we've done we couldn't find any congested gateways, endpoints, routers etc on our network.

This new CEO isn't good from our point of view frown. There have been several degradations of customer-friendliness since he came, and the problem areas of ticket response slowness and long telephone waits don't seem to have been handled.

Is it really a vital commercial secret to say what capacity has been added? It is certainly something that is useful to tell prospective customers unsure as to the commitment to sizing for peak load. Fair enough, the number joining from recommendation on these forums is small compared to that from advertising and I expect comparison sites, but word of mouth by those few will back up the adverts.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 57.2/15.3Mbps @ 600m. - IPv4BQM IPv6BQM

It's not that we're wanting to be secretive about it, it's just such a regular occurrence that we've not posted them.

That is an interesting statement. As there was no email stating that the new capacity announcements were going to stop, all that your users can assume is that there has been no new capacity added. The impression from using the service also suggests that because of the low level problems seen. It makes it a bit difficult to believe your statement although we have to assume that it is true.

I think part of the issue is that the posts about this stopped when we had a bit of a reshuffle internally, so I'm wondering if this got dropped accidentally. As mentioned though, we have continued to add bandwidth and I may be able to get a list of the dates we did this (if not the amounts now), let me have a look.

It would help counter the worries of some of us, including me. I've been a staunch supporter for a few years now, but an beginning to feel the broadband throughput is less reliable than I've become used to. Then I see the problems others are having, and wonder what is going on. I'm hesitating now before recommending Plusnet, and often simply not doing so as a result.

If those emails could be reinstated it would give a warm feeling smile.

As for the new all-singing all-dancing bng gateways not handing out IPv6 IP addresses .... That's simply ludicrous. Particularly as it is becoming increasingly difficult to avoid being on one tongue.

Takes me anything up to a dozen hops. I look at the useage graphs and there seems to be no correlation between the numbers already on a particular gateway and the one that is assigned i.e. why aren't new connections channeled to the least populated gateways?
