My box arrived yesterday, and after a bit of 'faffing' getting my Billion router set up I am 'on line'.

So far the 'extra' internet fed channels are mainly dross, but I live in hope of expansion. At least I now have the 'catch-up', a PVR and HD for not a lot.

I'm very happy with the box, much quicker than the old one and definitely worth it for the deal. The extra channels didn't really interest me. If you have another Humax box in the same room you will have to change the remote code for that box.

Called up and got £5 per month for TV (YouView+ box) and £9.99 per month Unlimited Fibre Extra for 24 months. I was a few months out of contract for the fibre. £7.99 P&P charge for YouView box + new router. No charge or activation for hardware.

Erm, daft question....but do I just phone the 0800 0113 217 number on the bottom of https://portal.plus.net/tv/ or somewhere else? It seems I'm just on a rolling contract for both fibre and phone so hoping some kind of deal can be done either with or without this YouView malarkey.

I just phoned them and said I'd seen an ad. for Youview from Plusnet and was wondering how much it would cost to get it.

Did you get an answer to how much it would cost and if so how much was it?

24 months? i had that with my last provider and I would not want to do that again. Saying that if I do not hurry up and make up my mind It will turn into a 24 month contract if I went for You View.

Only just got my TV licence back, wondering now if i made a mistake and should have carried on as I was.

I was 12 months in, any problems have been quickly resolved so far, so I thought £24 for this Youview box was a pretty good deal and didn't mind the new contract.

The box seems pretty good, I've had mine for a week. It should be £50 from plusnet but that £1 offer mentioned above gets you the box for free. These are similar to retail boxes that cost £150.
