Anyone who contracted when the cheaper fibre option was 40/20 (provisioned as 80/20 but then download capped at 40) has been moved to 55/10. That's only for those specific existing users and it has never been a sold option.

Hence why its a small bump on our speed test graph compared to the much larger on with BT Retail perhaps 5 to 10% of FTTC user base is my estimate

I fall into that category but BTW test still says:-
"Download speed achieved during the test was - 36.63 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 27.07 Mbps-38.67 Mbps .
Additional Information:
IP Profile for your line is - 38.67 Mbps

Upload speed achieved during the test was - 7.02Mbps
Additional Information:
Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 20 Mbps"

I've never achieved more than ~38Mbps download and ~7Mbps upload so when the change was announced it was irrelevant to me anyway.
