Kaspersky is repeatedly turning up a false positive on a site which is definitely OK - like it's marksandspencer!
Have been looking through the help to see how to mark it as safe but haven't clocked it yet.
Can someone point me in the right direction please?

Fake AV's have been known to lurk in "definitely OK" sites - hate the damn things so I always currently use Norton DNS as a first line of defence.

If you're using KIS12 then try going into settings, protection centre, web antivirus, and the tab for trusted url's - you can add them there.

My KIS is currently 2011 but, having noticed a brill offer (£22 from the notorious PCW), I have 2012 waiting in the wings until my current version runs out. Nevertheless I'll try the trick you have suggested. Thanks!

You're welcome - just hope it works for you
I have no problems with M&S or any other sites though.

You know you can always get the newest version for free if you have a current key.

So what?
You still have to click the link in the HTML, then click "Run" or "Save", if you clicked "Save", then go and double click the file, and then click "Yes" to the UAC prompt to allow it to screw up your system.

Yes you are correct, but those fake scans can be really disturbing if one inadvertently opens a link to such malware on what are thought to be harmless sites - to be on the safe side I would close the browser from task manager.
