Unknown device connecting to my network.

Hi all,

I was going through the logs on the HH5 today and noticed that an Unknown device connected to my network. It requested an IP lease and got one, even renewed it as well. The thing is I was in bed at this time, and only one computer was actively using the internet.

I have some of my network going through 2 switches (yea I know thats not the best setup )... is it possible that the network leased an IP to the second switch?

I do have the mac code of the device, I guess I should have a look. Its very odd though. First time I've noticed this device connect.

I have wifi and FON turned off.

Ok I've discovered that this unknown device is connecting and disconnecting for between 5 to 10 minutes each night at usually 2:55am and logs off at just got 3am. It's been doing it every night as far as my logs go back. I've never noticed this before.

Did you check the MAC yet?

Could this be TR-069? This is the method HH5 uses to check for firmware updates.
