My Kaspersky IS 2009 kept flagging "Databases obsolete"?

It starts from this afternoon that my PC, installed with W7 and Kaspersky Internet Security 2009, keeps flagging up that my virus "Databases" has been obsoleted despite I have updated it online a number of times. At the end of each online update it is still flagging up the "Databases" are obsoleted and my PC therefore has a high risk.My corresponding KIS 2009 license is still valid though. This is the first time happening to me for failing to update its corresponding databases. Does anyone here has suffered from similar event in the past few hours, or it is only me? Thanks

Is your system clock OK?

If it persists Kas 10 has a repair facility.

Best thing to do is uninstall KIS 2009 (saving activation data) and install version 2010 (not 2011 as it is a bit flakey with Windows 7 64bit)

get version 2010 from here http://www.kaspersky.com/au/kis_latest_versions.

Your 2009 key will work with 2010 (and 2011)

KIS allows you to get the latest versions as long as you are still in 'contract'. But as GloryHornet suggests, be sure to uninstall KIS 2009 before you install 2010.I like KIS but updating an existing installation can lead to wailing and gnashing of teeth. The KIS forum explains.

Hi, guys! I just found out that it was Kaspersky's Update Server/File was having this problem today because I just repeated my KIS 2009 updates a few minutes ago and it went through O.K without any problems at all. In fact as one of you have noted that this KIS 2009's Update hiccup was reported in KIS forum today too. My PC got Windows XP Pro installed, not W7 as I have mistakenly stated above. Thank you for all your suggestions.

IMO a reason to avoid Kaspersky!

I've been using KIS Version 11.0.1.400 (a.b.) and since the b patch it's no long flakey as you call it, Win 7 x64 Ultimate.
So OP thats what I would do unintall 2009 and install 2011
