Speedtouch modem

[link to this post]

I've got a Speedtouch 536-v6 modem the other side of my Airport Extreme Bas Station. I'd like to get into the modem to poke around. I know I've done this sort of thing in the past, but cannot remember how to do it.

Can someone help me out please?

If it's the setting just point your browser at it's IP address (eg 192.168.100.1) and enter your username and password. If it's the actual box itself, get a screwdriver. smile

Typically you can telnet to Speedtouch modems.

Google for the CLI (Command Line Interface) manual.

Thanks. It occurred to me that I had never specified a password for access to the modem, having had it for several years. I vaguely remembered seeing the 'Thomson SpeedTouch ST536' page in my browser - a long while ago - but couldn't even remember how to get to it! After a bit of faffing around I found that it was wide open. No password needed.

It now has a decent password.

I'll check out the telnet option when I feel brave enough. I'm a novice at CLI matters.
