It's true that MS and a lot of software will be riddled with back doors and security holes etc, but it is a different thing to pay to insatll software from a hostile securiy service ie the FSB and help with their development costs and feed them masses of info on malware in the wild.
The need to use any third party AV software seems strange to me as I have only used Windows Defender for at least 10 years and have never installed any other AV tool. I have never had a virus or email spam message.
The key word imo is "Money" , all AV software [or most of it] has to be paid for , if not the company dies.
So the company could if they wish infect your PC with a virus , then you pay to get it off.?
At least with MS Windows Defender no extra money is asked for.
