Any heavy sky max users on here?

[link to this post]

I'm thinking of getting Sky BB, but when I called for my MAC no, they tried the ol frightners on me.

They said that I download approx 100GB a month and that Sky would not be happy with that.

They tried to see their 8MB for 14.99, but that has a 15GB cap.

Anyone on Sky Max that downloads that amount?

Paul.

You haven't actually said who your ISP is at present - perhaps you should mention this if they are going to spread disinformation about other ISPs

Former Homechoice Max Speed customer.
Not bad, but just not good enough now, oh and I don't do Tiscali, thank you.

Sky Max has an unofficial 350gb cap.

Plenty of people have downloaded that value and not had any emails or letters.

Happy to be on freedom2surf - 4MB 50gb Cap on GW2

I know the Pipex group (Nildram/f2s) have been spreading lies about SKY broadband to stop customers leaving but didn't think any other ISP's would stoop so low.

Your profile mentions freeserve......so are we taking about Orange? Would not surprise me in the slightest.

Funny you should mention Pipex...
That's who I am with at the moment... Hopefully not for long.

Got my MAC code coming, so roll on 72 hours.

lol

At least Pipex are consistent.

When someone at f2s first got an email criticising SKY with outrageous lies we all thought it was just a comission-hungry retentions agent who was making it up. See below.

http://www.freedom2support.net/forums/showpost.php?p=72983&postcount=30

Imagine our horror when someone from f2s said that the "management" had given these instructions to staff and that they would now be withdrawn.

The very same email was also sent to someone at Nildram so talk about getting caught with your pants down. You would think Pipex management would have the sense not to lie in black and white where it can be so easily used as evidence.

If you are going to be on the Max package there's pretty much no cap, if you used excessive amounts on a day to day basis they may eventually say something but at the moment they are too busy dealing with the eternally and unending flow of BT screw-ups that are impeding their ability to deliver their service. Basically you'll be fine with Sky at that level of usage.
