On the road to get sky, but do I cancel Pipex?

Phoned up on Monday and ordered the MAX service.
While I was joining up they said that I should be cancelling my Pipex BB once I get the letter from them.

I though that this was what the MAC code was for.
Should I be cancelling or leave it alone?

On another note they state that I should get 12.5Mbps on my line distance, here are my stats what do you guys think I'll get?

Between 10 and 14mbit according to crude calculations so 12.5 sounds very feasible.

Once you've been migrated to Sky, phone Pipex up and then notify them and settle any outstanding charges - sometimes losing ISPs play ignorant even though BT does notify them for you.

The following table shows the relationship between downstream attenuation and potential connection speed on a low noise line:
