Connecting to sky using a Linksys router

[link to this post]

Hi all. Thanks to reading the posts here, I found my username and password for sky, so thought I'd give it a go to connect using my old router which was Linksys WAG354. Sadly, I've had problems, where when I try to connect in the page you connect from, both the connect and disconnect boxes are greyed out so you can't use them. These are the settings I am using, can anyone see offhand what I am doing wrong please? Any help gratefully appreciated (if I don't reply over weekend it's because I'm away till Monday but please do help if you can).

You haven't connected it to your phone line right. It's not syncing up. Are you trying to use both routers at once, for example?

Also, for the PPPoA connection settings, remove any autodetect options for the connection itself and make sure you can specify the VPI and VCI values; these should be VPI = 0, VCI = 38.

I found on some modems/routers I used to use, autodetect didn't always work properly is - although this shouldn't be a problem!

Just for clarification - I assume that there is no problem with your Sky BB connection (i.e. it works okay when you use the Sky Router)?
