adsl 1 or adsl2

need help please can anyone tell me how i find out if my brother is on adsl1 or adsl2 please.as i dont know how to access his modem to find out, thanks for any help.

If you look for "Mode" in the sky router's stats if it says "Mode: G.DMT" it is ADSL1
