Sky BB speed

Hi all
I am thinking of moving to SKY BB from my existing ISP. I am on an ADSL exchange (no LLU) and currently get about 2.7Mb speed on an up to 8Mb service. I am out in the country.
My question is, if I signup for the SKY up to 2 Mb service will I get 2Mb or is this set at the exchange and therefore my speed will be considerably slower.
SKY site tells me my line will support 3Mb.
The difference in speed between 2.7 and 2 is likely to make little difference to me but if I got considerably lower than 2 it would be worth paying the extra �5.

If your line will only at optimum get 3Mb then definitely get the fixed 2 Mb

Sky's 2mbps "Base" package has a 2GB montly usage allowance, if you use less than that then up to 8mbps probably isn't worth the extra money.

If your exchange is on the list to be unbundled in the near future you will be offered connect for �5 per month instead of �17 which is the standard price.

I read the small print in their adverts and the good deals are not available to exchanges that have not been LLU'd by Sky.
It looks like I may have a long wait!!!
