Sky max

I have just found out my exchange has finally got its first LLU from sky/ukonline,

Bit confusing though,when I put my number in the Sky checker it said we could get speeds between 8 and 16mb but then went on about getting sky connect.

We stopped subscribing to our Sky TV a couple of months ago and just get the free channels through Sky, do we need to start subscribing to the TV again?

Hi PB, I think you've hit the nail on the head there - I believe you have to subscribe to Sky TV to be eligible for their BB service of any description, including Connect I would assume!

Having said that, any checkers won't be linked to your subscription unless it was Sky themselves who stated that - if not already, use Sam Knows to double check.

Yep confirms I can get Sky max but I emailed sky to see what they say.
Suppose I can start subscribing to the cheapest TV package.

Done the test on the Sky site and got a mixed result,even tho on sams it says its available,

like I said I have emailed sky and hopefully they will clarify, on the Ukonline site it says I can get up to 16Mb.

Probably just a case of Sky's online ordering system hasn't updated with the fact that your exchange is unbundled now...?

yeah thats what I thought the sky site may have not updated yet,I think its just been unbundled my exchange but no idea when as I had a shock as I didnt expect it to be unbundled for another 12 months.No way I would go on Sky connect lol, seen we stopped subscribing to sky TV we would have to start again,just got to convince the Mrs will phone sky later and see what they can offer us,pitty they dont phone up as they have done to try and get us back,could of used it to our advantage for a good deal.
