Thinking of moving to sky

Hi guy as a current tv subcriber I was thinkg of moving to sky's �50 all in package (phone calls,adsl & Tv)

A few questions if you please

1. How are game pings
2. we currently use around 50 gig a month is this a problem ?
3. Does any1 know what speeds are like fromm news groups (i use usenetserver.com)I currently get around 8meg a second maxed out most of the time.
4. How did your migrations go any major problems

1. My son tells me they are OK he is apparently getting between 60-80 for most of his apparently. (Sorry I don't know if this is good or not)

2. It depends which package you are on. Again I am unsure all I know is i am on Max.

3. I use Giganews and I max out my connection. (12-13Mbps)

4. I moved from Bulldog so did not have to worry about MAC code. 2 Weeks to be moved across to a BT line then 12 more days to get line activated. Line was activated at about 11pm on the 11th day and Sky was available immediately.

I have been with Sky 2 days now and so far so good. Great connection, great speeds and unbelievably easy to install and that was without using the supplied disc.

Bad when you join sometimes, you can get them lowered

Connect and Mid - 40gb Limit
Max - unofficially 250gb (corrected)

Normally full line speed unless on Connect

4. How did your migrations go any major problems

None at all personnally

Moved over from Bulldog, the gaming pings aren�t quite as low as theirs but once you get the max_delay reduced they are pretty respectable and my ingame pings are similar to the rest of the players.

The connection is solid, no drop outs in the couple of months that I have had the connection well apart from random router rebooting not just my Netgear but also my Solwise so probably down to my excessive P2P useage

I am on the Max product as I would max out the Mid product every month within the first couple of weeks and for the extra fiver was worth it. I am synced at 16380 and often download at maximum speeds which is fantastic.

I had no migration to deal with as I had moved home and the line had no ADSL on it. I phoned Sky and was connected with 10 days.
