Is sky doing annex m now?

I've been doing some checks on a family members Sky LLU (ADSL) connection and they have gained a bit more upstream bandwidth now.

I logged into their my sky and noticed this....

Your Connection Details
We constantly monitor your line to make sure it has been set to support the fastest speed possible whilst maintaining a stable connection.

Line connection testing completed on 08/06/2014, resulting in the following settings:

Download speed setting
Your connection has been set to a download speed of up to 13.3Mbps .

Upload speed setting
Your connection has been set to an upload speed of up to 2.6Mbps .

These line settings make sure that your line maintains a stable connection.

Does this mean he is now on a Annex M connection....

Also note this wasn't an account switched from O2 was started with Sky Jan or Feb 2014..

Any ideas?, and if so could he gain anymore upstream??

Also does anyone know if sky are making static IP's available to existing customers?

Would like to setup a BQM but IP keeps changing.

I think it's part of a re-profiling exercise across all Sky customers. The 2.6 meg upstream limit means that it's capped to that speed, but doesn't mean you'll get it.

There's no evidence (yet) that Sky intend to roll out annex M, but the new upstream profile seems to hint at it.

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro is available now.

Already has a look at the 3db post...

Thanks for you help anyway I will keep an eye on it and see what comes of it.

Would be interesting to see if the 3db profile gets put on this connection as it was on there with BT and when they was with O2 ....

Though many would agree when I say that O2/Be was a far superior broadband service compared to ADSL connections now.
