Hi peeps, perhaps you can help me?
Sky have recently unbundled my exchange and I have taken the plunge and moved over.
I am less than a kilometre from the exchange and have good line stats and I would expect a higher sync speed than the 4.5mbps as quoted by the provisioning team. Checks based on my attenuation suggest 10-12mbps. In fact, 4.5 *appears* to be a BT estimate for ADSL(1) (That's a guess, but it is about what I do get on the F2S 8mbps service and BT's line checker quotes the same speed for 8mb), rather than the ADSL2+ up to 16mbps service. I have taken the plunge and signed up in the hope that this was just a mistake in quoting the line speeds, but I am concerned that there is some deeper reason, the deeper reasons being:
1) Although Sky have unbundled my exchange, it is only for the up to 8mbps ADSL(1) service
2) The person in provisioning has set me up on the wrong package.
3) Something else!
It's probably too late to do something about it now, but I just thought someone may have had a similar experience and may be able to tell me what to expect?
Cheers!
Martin
