EARLY? how early?

[link to this post]

Ok.. my letter said the 18th of December as an activation date, but could be up to 3 days later..

i've found out, i've actually been activated NOW.. on the 15th!

woooah!

it is good, cos my old metronet account stopped working 2 days before the billing date... w00t..

so... now to see if i can get a faster upload than i'm already getting... hmm...

oh.. and how can i find out if i am actually on the LLU network, and not on the standard BT network, cos i'm wondering if sky have been sneaky.... my upload is alot slower (413kbps) compared to what i used to get with MN (768kbps)

Try restarting the router a couple of times. Most people report steadily increasing speeds after doing this.

I was activated a few days early too, took around 5 days for the upload to increase to 80KB/s.

I got activated on the day of the letter, and it was 10 days from placing the order with Sky to my service going live.

My BB was supposed to be activated on the 14th but 2 days later and still nothing. To make matters worse my old BB connection went yesterday at 4pm and now I am left without broadband. Phoned CS who said that it is a good thing that I don't have a BB connection because that means that my Sky BB is due to go live soon (whatever that means). Anyone else experienced downtime for 24 hrs or longer during the switchover?
