sky router

okay, i understnd that the user ID and password is hardwired into the sky router. does this mean that the sky router cannot be used with any other ISP?

the reason i ask is that i was planning to ebay my old linksys router, but if the sky one can only be used with sky then i may well keep the linksys one in case i want to swap ISP again in the future - would save me having to buy a new router again.

then again, i suppose most ISPs give out free wireless routers these days anyway!

thanks

There are ways to apply the generic Netgear router firmware. A search on this forum should find some answers.

Or alternatively, post on Sky User and no doubt the answer will appear.
