getting my sky logon settings

[link to this post]

right, i used the sky router utility at

http://dg834gt.mognuts.com/NetgearRouterUtility.html

and i've got my netgear.cfg file but how do i open it and get my logon details?

also, is it worth installing the sky supplied software or should i just stick with the windows standard setup?

cheers!

Its a text file - open it with notepad or wordpad.
You get Mcafee anti-virus free for a year if you want. But I haven't bothered with any of the software.

If you're on MAX (the ADSL2+ one) you may find the Sky Netgear gives better speeds than a lot of Linksys equipment. However if you have a long or noisy line, a Speedtouch may be better than the Sky Netgear.

linksys gives me better speed than the netgear because i cannot set up the netgear even after trying a few guides on different forums

its the wireless side of things

I've always used AVG Free as it is freeware, updates on auto and IMO is faster and better to use than Norton or McAfee.
